Investor-first approach for your assets

As an investment company, we primarily invest our own capital. Nevertheless, our investors are at the core of everything we do. Alignment of interests coupled with intrinsic motivation as the driving force for outstanding performance. Trust as the basis of everything. Unified in our corporate philosophy and lived anew every day.

“ Where there is trust, there is victory.”

Our investment approach

History

BlackSun Capital is an investment management firm based in Frankfurt on the Main. It was founded in 2017 by two fellow students of the Goethe University with the aim of implementing an investment strategy that systematically outperforms the market – both in terms of return and risk. For this purpose, an alternative investment approach is pursued, which is implemented with the help of derivatives.

Various investors have supported us since then or are still onboard as partners of the company. Since its inception, the company and its founders intrinsically adopt the "investor-first" approach, which has become the company's philosophy. We see ourselves as a service provider for our clients, offering them the same services for their capital as we do for our own- always on the premise of serving the investor first and ourselves second.

Our Approach

Our trading strategy is based on the analysis of the medium-term trend and the identification of liquidity zones, derivation of retail sentiment and trading volume in the market. In addition to our proprietary and AI-optimized algorithm, we rely on clear decision-making processes and objectified decision-making. Our proprietary developed risk management indicator is at the core of our investment process.

Horst Dennert
Physicist & Consultant

Horst Dennert devoted himself to the study of physics at FAU (Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen/Nuremberg). In parallel, he studied biology, computer science and philosophy in the Studium generale. He graduated with a diploma in physics on the topic of "Excitation of isoscalar giant resonances and compressibility of nuclear matter", after a research stay at the Nuclear Research Center in Karlsruhe. During 10 years of research activities as a research associate (PhD student) at FAU in Erlangen, he investigated exotic substructures of the hadronic interaction at the antiproton-proton collision at the European research institute CERN in Switzerland. Within the international collaboration, his tasks included design and preparation of experiments, detector development, data analysis, and simulations of physical events. His group's participation in the H-particle creation experiment at CERN turned out to be the greatest scientific success of his physics career. The experiment demonstrated the existence of antimatter (anti-hydrogen) for the first time. A number of scientific publications in Physical Review, Nuclear Physics, and Physical Letters document his work as a research associate at the FAU physics department. For more than 15 years he has been working on artificial intelligence technologies and their impact on human existence. In the context of EU eLearning projects, he has most recently designed Conversational AI systems and data foundations, as well as developed and defined them for the goal of adaptive learning in the learning management system. In a Data Science project, data is selected and prepared for use in machine learning applications. Another area of work in the context of AI applications is the use of algorithms in the financial environment. Concepts and algorithms are designed to facilitate the prediction of price trends from time series analysis and optimize the process for decision making. In this context, he founded FinDig42 GmbH in 2019.
